New Celebrity ID, New Artist
2008.07.16
Those of you who have been paying attention will have noticed the resonant tones of The English Beat's very own Dave Wakeling doing station IDs for GroundWaves over the last few days. Nice guy, puts on a hell of a show. We recommend you support him when he comes to your town, because he supports independant musicians. There's no better proof of that than the fact that he's helped nurture the solo career of the English Beat's saxophonist, Jativa, who enters the broadcast today. Jativa has spent the last decade perfecting an amazingly listenable and dancable mix of roots reggae and dub style with Latin overtones and lead saxophone, and he's done it up right. Give thanks!
